What is dance to you? A video project from Dance With Me!

Some people think that dance is only for the people who are dancing, the dancers. It is viewed as an exclusive area where the access to it is limited to those born with the talents to create a beautiful body movement. Yet, we refuse to have the same view. We are viewing the dance from a broader perspective where dance could seem to be relevant to all people.
The fact is that dance is a very part of a society. Everyone could enjoy dancing regardless of whether you are a dancer or an audience, whether you believe that you are able to dance or do not believe so, and whether you like or dislike dancing.
This video is made to actually tell the people about this, about how important the dance is to all people. Five persons with different backgrounds and dreams were gathered and asked about what is dance to them. Their opinions reveals that the essence of dance is beyond the profession as a dancer, reaching out to even the very core of society's existence. It is indeed believed that the absence of dance in the society means that the society itself is not complete. In some situations, people can just do nothing but dancing where emotions are inexpressible through the words of mouth.
If you can't find any reason to dance, just dance with me!

Love is a Dance

Among the hobbies and activities in common that a couple with children or without children  could have  can be, go to the cinema, theater, reading, even go to the football... or others such as, of course, children, skiing... or no! .

Do you know that when two people are in a relationship it is almost as if they are dance partners. Both play their own part in maintaining the movements and groove through the rhythm of the dance.

Learn to dance with a partner can also help your relationship, that always changes when you became mother/father. The moments of dance are times that you have for the two, and you will be all the time in physical contact.

However, it is not just the comparison with dance that will make your love life more enriching but a deeper connect with it that proves to be extremely beneficial for your relationship.

No matter what your primary and secondary love languages are, dancing will give you all you need to communicate love to your partner

Here are some fantastic relationship benefits of dancing:

1. Better Understanding

Shall-We-Dance

As couples take to dancing together, they learn to understand each other better than they would otherwise. Dancing requires co-ordination and for co-ordination, you need to develop mutual understanding. As you slowly start understanding your partner’s moves, you start to mould yourself accordingly. When dancing with your partner, the understanding you establish is purely non-verbal, a level of understanding much beyond spoken words.

2. Cooperation

When partners come together to dance, they learn to work together, to use their contrasting qualities to achieve a common goal and trust each other. Partners begin to cooperate much better as there are no ego clashes involved. The awareness of the need to work in harmony to reach their goal drives them to understand and work on each other’s cues which start showing its positive effects off the dance floor too.
3.  Positive Change In Communication

Dancing enhances your non-verbal communication with each other and teaches you qualities like patience, makes you more understanding towards your partner and, further, makes you aware of one another's cues. The harmony achieved on the dance floor is a skill that transcends into your relationship, thus, bringing in a positive change in how you communicate with each other.
4.  Re-ignites Passion

Various dance forms like Salsa and Tango are known to be extremely seductive. Once you start grooving to the sultry beats, you are consumed by passion for your partner. The electricity that is ignited on the dance floor leaves its traces in your relationship. The passion that you feel for your partner when dancing will set fire to your dormant relationship and bring in the missing chemistry that time had stolen from you.

Dance in Television

Dance is primarily a show presented to the audiences. Most of the dance is performed on stages where the people enjoy from the audience seats. If decades ago the beauty of dancing could only be enjoyed in a theatre where people must sacrificed their money in order to get into the show, it is no longer the case now. The invention of television has been likely to be a mark of the end of the exclusivity of the dancing show or many other shows. People no longer need to purchase tickets to enjoy a show as long as they have the access to television.
Furthermore, various dancing shows in the television have been produced and almost all people now can even choose to watch whatever the show they prefer.
Now, let us discuss three of the most popular dancing shows in television.

1. Dancing with the Stars

It is a dancing competition show produced in the United States and has become a franchise show produced also in many countries. It has been airing since 2005 on ABC in the US and CTV in Canada. The show that is hosted by Tom Bergeron and Erin Andrews has a format consisting of a celebrity and a professional dancer in a team competing with several other teams. Let's have a look a glimpse of the show in the video below.

2. So You Think You Can Dance

With a provoking title, this competition has also become one of the most well-know dancing show franchises. Premiered also in 2005, the show has a format which take variety of dancers from various dancing styles to enter to open auditions in major cities in the US. Only a small number of dancers or group dancers are chosen as finalists towards the end of the audition. They will compete for the votes of the audiences who determine the winner of the show. The inputs of the panel judges also affect the shortlisting of the dancing competitors into the more advanced stages. It can be seen as "American Idol" for dancers, instead of for singers. Let's have a look on the show!

3. Dance Academy

It is not a competition, it is a drama! A drama aired in Australia since 2010 for teen audiences, yet also open to anyone, of course, who has a television and wished to watch. It was created by Samantha Strauss and Joanna Werner and the show is starring Xenia Goodwin, Alicia Banit, Dena Kaplan, and many others. The story is narrated from the perspective of the main character of the drama, Tara Webster played by Xenia Goodwin, a student at the dance academy. The story tells how Tara learns to be better at dancing in various kinds of dance genres, such as Ballet, Contemporary Ballet, and even Hip Hop! 3 series have been produced displaying the evolution of Tara and her peers in their dancing career. Let's enjoy the drama!

You may choose which ever you prefer to watch from any dancing show in the television. It may also depends on your preference of the types of the show, whether it is a drama, competition, reality show, or even documentary. Dance is no longer an exclusive show and can be enjoyed by anyone. Isn't it great?!
