Waltz

Waltz is a dance that performed as smooth ballroom and folk dance. Waltz appeal in 16th century, Montaigne-- the french philosopher, wrote of a dance he saw in Ausbrug, 1580. There are numerous of different waltz forms existed in the 19th and early 20th century, including versions performed in 3/4 or 6/8 (sauteuse), and 5/4 time (5/4 waltz, half and half). The Country Western Waltz is shown as positive mostly, moving counter clock wise around the dance floor. The posture and frame of the Waltz music are smooth and relax, with posture bordering on a slouch. The exaggerated hand and arm gestures of some ballroom styles are not a section of this style. The dance couples may dance in the promenade position frequently, it is really depending on local preference. Within Country Western waltz, there is the Spanish Waltz and the more modern (for the 1930s- early 1950s) Pursuit Waltz. At a time it was considered as ill treatment for a man to make the woman dance backwards in some locations.
Here are some step of waltz dance:
1. Get into the position by face the partner,
2. Step forward carefully with left foot on the first beat
3.Step forward and to the right with your right foot to the second beat
4.Slide left foot over to your right and stand with your feet together.
5. Step back with your right foot on the fourth beat
6.step back and to the left with your left foot, this time tracing a backward L. Shift your weight to your left foot
7.slide your right foot toward your left until your feet are together; now you’re ready to start over with your left foot to the final beat
